Philipp Karl Helfried (b.1994) is a Singapore-based artist and entrepreneur. With a background in Computer Science and Business, he first worked in investment banking in London, before relocating to Singapore, where he now owns, operates and invests in businesses.
Drawing inspiration from his grandparents' bold escape from East Germany in 1964, his art embodies themes of challenging conventions and questioning norms. He incorporates text, symbolism, mixed media and graphic design to convey and juxtapose complex philosophical ideas.
Beyond visual arts, Philipp has a profound passion for a wide range of subjects, including music, philosophy, politics, economics and business. He is an autodidact, skillfully plays several instruments, and has written, recorded and produced hundreds of musical pieces. As an entrepreneur, he has built successful businesses in the investment, consumer and software space.
